1. Heat oil in massive saucepan over medium-excessive warmth. Add onion, celery and garlic; prepare dinner and stir three minutes. Add rooster and turkey sausage; prepare dinner and stir 2 minutes, or till browned on all sides. Pour in broth, stirring to scrape up browned bits.
2. Stir tomatoes, okra, rice, purple pepper flakes, salt, black pepper and thyme into saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce warmth to low; cowl and prepare dinner 10 minutes.
